Step 1: Register with USA Water Polo (USAWP) REQUIRED

Registration with USA Water Polo is required. USAWP is the national governing body for our sport. You will need a USAWP Membership ID that is current before continuing to Step 2.

Bronze Level membership is sufficient to start. If you plan on attending JO’s you will need a Gold Level membership

Step 2: Register with Tri-Valley Water Polo Club (#21775)

Minimum Swim Requirements

Complete 25 yards of freestyle (1 lap) with side breathing in under 30 seconds, 50 yards of freestyle (2 laps) in under 60 seconds and complete 25 yards of backstroke (1 lap) in under 40 seconds. And be comfortable swimming in deep water including treading water for 60 seconds and eggbeater kicking for 30 seconds. While we want everyone to be exposed to the sport of water polo, every athlete is required to meet these minimum requirements. Athletes unable to perform at this level will not be allowed to participate in the session.
